Full-sized Highland War is back!

From Friday Sept. 2nd to teardown Monday Sept. 5th, the Shire of Al-Sahid lights the signal fires. We call for aid from the might of Caid, that all will answer and close the mountain passes to our enemies.

There will be scenarios for Armored and Rapier plus Archery and Thrown Weapons on Saturday and Sunday. There will be learning opportunities in arts, period dance and possibly fighting techniques.

There will also be Tournaments!

We will post a list of classes closer to the event, and we hope to have a wide variety of merchants as well.

Important note: although the Helendale site has grass, permanent shade structures, and flushing potties; what it does NOT have are built-in showers. We tried for shower trucks, but most companies have reserved their trucks for firefighter use in our busy fire season. SO. The Shire will supply sun showers! We encourage all to bring their own shower bags, which are inexpensive and available at REI, Amazon, Walmart, and elsewhere. (If you would prefer to bring your own sun shower, please contact the stewards so they know.)

The site opens Friday September 2nd at noon and closes Monday September 5th at noon.

Site registration: Adult Event Registration: $35, Adult Member Discount Event Registration: $30. Youth 15 & under are guests of the shire. Cash & checks will be accepted at gate. Please make checks payable to SCA Inc.,/Shire of Al-Sahid. Refund policy: No refunds, since payment is taken on site.
